    Three chipped teeth

I have three chipped teeth on my flywheel. From other posts from Duke and Vspec1, I assume it's from chopping throttle with my ETrace. Too much stress or something.
    Effing shit balls
What do you guys recommend? Stock replacement, or go with a lighter unit from rotax racing?
Too mad be back later going to dinner.

It's double row so that would depend on where the chips are there's also a starter that interfaces with the flywheel too. I would definately clean both screens and find the pieces

The new CP's arrived so I began tearing it apart. I wanted to get it done quickly so our wonderful west Texas dust didn't have time to settle on the internals. Everything else looked great, but I happened to seen the tiny chips. I can't find particles either, which makes me wonder where the hell they went.

The starter teeth look fine, it's the other that doesn't. I'm sure I could run it, but I plan on turning it up a notch next year and don't want to chance it.
The lightened rotax unit was my thinking as well.
    Thanks for the advice.

Rugged. I recently checked my flywheel and looked great, also running 70-145.

Don't discard that flywheel, you can turn it into a single row for a turbo application.

As others mentioned, go lightened while your at it.

I keep everything for future reference in the event of a large failure. I'll work backwards to see if there were telltale signs that I missed on older parts.
If not for the mapping issues with a turbo, I would have done it last year. It's still on my mind though, but I'm eager to see how these 11:1's pull.
Glad to hear others are having good luck with the lightened unit. Rotax it is.
    Thanks again!
