    best rideplate for a GPRSHO

What is the best plate for top speed on s GPRSHO. I currently have a Riva. Just wondering if a Jim's modded R&D would be any faster.

From my experience, I would suggest the Jim's modded R&D FF plate.

I had a Jim's modded R&D on my GPRXP and have a stock Riva on my GPRSHO. I can't say there is any difference in handling. Hard to compare though because they are 2 different skis.

you are right you can not compare the gprxp with the gprsho, the grpsho handles way better because motor is heavier and centered of gravity is better.

John, when I had my ff plate on gpr it seemed to like the corners better than other plates as it did not skip out like the stocker and riva.. I used to get a kick out of the guys who would say "through on a stock plate for the ruff" I never understood that as I would just through a couple shims in rear and was good to go. Gus and I used to ride in the ruff and saw how fast and how good it handled all the way around. Just my opinions on the matter all around best plate..

Same with mine. Previous owner had an island plate (for sale btw) and was a truly evil machine to handle. I was able to find Riva sponsons and got an R&D plate and I'm turning like an F1 race car. Hard to tell how much my setup has scrubbed speed since we're basically comparing apples to oranges, but the previous owner saw 91.8 in optimal air temps. Right now, I'm knocking on the door of 90 in the Fl heat, but on the rev limiter. I have the same curiosity John does here.
