    Black line under Carbon seal

    Hi All

Just noticed this yesterday when polishing Ski a black line appearing under the drive shaft.
    I think it's normal as the carbon seal wears .... it's a 2012 with 60 hrs.
    ????????

Your drive line is out of alignment.

Can you post pics of the line??

this line is pretty standard on any carbon seal ski. you'll see it as the hours add up. i see it all the time.

Did it just show up, or did you just notice it?
A brand new carbon seal will leave a mark as it is broken in.

I just noticed it ... i'm in Northern Ireland so our 2 days of sunshine are finished so I was basically cleaning the ski in prep for storage.

That looks pretty normal, it probably has been there all along.
    And welcome to Greenhulk.

keep an eye on it for now. check it during your next outing as any type of water leakage at the seal will result in that line..be worth a peek at the driveshaft from underneath in the event you picked up a bunch of fishing line.
