considering buying 2006 RXT with P0505 error....for $1800 off price

hey guys, im considering the purchase of a 2006 RXT, with trailer, for $3000. mostly freshwater use, intake grate/housing/impeller all look good, supercharger sounds fine.
wear ring is scored, has a rip on the seat, needs buffed out good (left out in sun)
ski had a little trouble starting, would start die, start die, then started and ran fine after that.
had issue with the battery charging possibly (has had new, larger capacity battery installed). also ski mostly sits, not used much
has a P0505 error on the display, ive heard these can be a pain to find and fix.

    UPDATE:
compression on cylinders from back to front: 120, 110, 120
during lake test ski lacks power, power is intermittent, and top speed is 35mph

it acts like a coil is bad, or coil is working intermittently? easy fix if that is the problem

this ski normally sells for 4800-5500, seller will take $3000.

is this a deal or should i run away?

    thanks
    -phil

Read the sticky on exhaust valve issues.
Also the s/c has or had ceramic clutch washers.

The old fuel could cause it to not idle right.
    Old spark plugs too.

Ride it for 20+ min and see if additional codes come up.

    thanks, will do.

ill replace the washers and rebuild the supercharger first thing, as soon as i get home with it! lol.
the ski has been sitting for 6 months (with the same gas im assuming), so thats prob the cause of the starting issue like you said.

It might be worth the price of a couple gallons of gas to add some new before you ride.
