    2012 RXT X 260 aS - water pump hose clamp, IC leaking and other sinking issues

    Before I start, I am in the process of fitting TWO bilge pumps!!!

    I have now read many horror stories of 2011/12 RXT X 260's losing the water pump inlet hose clamp and, well you know the rest.

    As I am just starting my winter overhaul/mods (and therefore have the top deck off), what can I do to make sure that the water pump hose clamp does fail? Just tighten it? Replace it? Modify it? (not sure how it's failing so not sure how to prevent a future problem).

    Are there any other 'weak' manufacturing issues I can fix whilst I have the top deck off? Should I be worried about the IC leaking on a 2012 model (manufactured Dec 2011)? or was the problem fixed before this date?

    No being paranoid, just don't want to have any down time next season or have an expensive known problem bite me in the ass for the sake of a few hours work now.

    Your thoughts / experiences / advice welcome.

    I have heard the fuel regulators are not much good.

    also make sure the alignment is perfect on the motor to hull to pump.

    Some people have had trouble with the ic on 12 model skis.

    I had that same hose clamp break on my 09 gtx I S 255.

    Everyone knows that the serial ic is very bad.If you have money I recommend very much a Riva Gen 3
