    RXT-X Sitting since mid-August.

My ski has been sitting since mid-August due to work schedule. I flushed ski and dried everything out on the last ride, but was wondering if I should do anything to it before I fire it up again. If its going to sit for a long period, I usually shoot some oil into the cylinders, but did not this past ride. Just curious to see what you guys think.

fire it up on the hose before you take it to the lake to make sure everything is up to par,
if you are going to leave it for more than a couple of weeks make sure you use some stabill for the fuel,

I did not put stabil in it. I need to get it out and burn that fuel out.

Sounds like a normal scenario for people with boats that don't live by water. I wouldn't even be thinking twice about it at that length of time.

and stay away from Stabil. Everyone needs to stay away from that shit unless they like jelly in their fuel system.

    Not a Stabil lover either.

I use Lucas fuel Injector cleaner. It says on the bottle it neutralizes old fuel and lubricates the upper cylinders.

I use it in all the skis I get.

I've used it in my pwc's for years-and not once have I ever had a problem. I always add a little bit, after topping off-as sometimes I don't know how long it will be until I ride, and it doesn't hurt the performance of the boat at all.
I've gone 6+ months, with Stabil in one of my cars I don't drive much-and it still drives just fine.

I'm not sure where or how you are seeing jelly in the fuel system-but, I've been using the stuff for over 10 years, and not once seen what you described. I've used it in PWC's, bikes, and cars-and not once have I ever had any issues with "bad gas". The stuff is amazing, in my book.

I've also used the Lucas Fuel injector cleaner-love that stuff!!! I pour a little bottle into my SUV, and get an average of 10% better fuel mileage. In face-when I go on long trips, I get a big bottle, and use a little on each fill up. It has always improved my fuel economy to the point where it's very noticeable-and has easily paid for itself.

However, I'm sticking with my big jug of Stabil for this year.......

As for the OP; I've let my PWC sit for over 4 months, without Stabil(completely forgot). I just topped it off, and rode the hell out of it. Mine regularly sits for a month or two, then I go out and ride it-no issues.
