    Vtech 50 8400

    Hi I have rxp 07 im thinking to remap the ECU with vtech 50 8400rpm
    Do I have to upgrade valve train.?
    Can I use 48s injector?

    You really need to go to the VT11 injectors and do it right. 48-50 is not enough.

    I have not done the retainers yet but if you were to see on the loggers how high the RPMs wind up going with these motors.....

    Why 50 and 40 injoctor is not enough if map 50?
    Will it be enough if I have RRFPR

    A rrfpr will help but is about the same amount of money as just getting the injectors and fixing the issue once and for all.

    I will be tuning a 8600 RPM race ski that has to run the stock injectors per the rule book in the next few days. I will know more later next week if we can at least get things acceptably close enough. I cringe at the thought of doing this but as a race boat, I have no good choices.

    I would never consider it on a rec boat.

    As a side note, my ski runs a 8300 rev limit. On a 90 min log from a few weeks ago, in typical rough lake water, the motor exceeded 8700 RPM 14 times.

    The VT11 will not fit his ski.

    Is there a bigger injector that will fit in the 75# or larger range?

    But he would need a map for them and his other supporting mods if any. Depending on what SC the 42 should be fine till you add boost.

    60 or 80's should get you in the ballpark then you will need to add or remove fuel to adjust you AFR requirements.
