Barn find delight
I know Seadoo 3D's are an aquired taste but when a friend of a friend said they had one that had sat for a few years with a bit of the exhaust melted and they wanted rid of it cheap I thought why not.
Apparently he got it and just did not like they way it rode.
We agreed £400 over the phone. I drove 2 hours to get to it, took a look over it and tried to start it with a battery charger. Click, click from the relays as it was flat flat. Tried jumping it, starter now clicks in. So I tell the guy it might be seized and its not worth £400, I will give you £50. We haggle for a bit and he chucks in a Mercury 9.9hp outboard motor he has sitting there all for £200.
Get the ski home, fresh battery on it and it fires right up. Fixed the exhaust issue and checked water flow etc. All good.
Took it to the local dealer today to plug into BUDS as my Candoo has used up all the licences. Anyway guess the hours on this thing??
3 hours 18 minutes!!!
18 of them minutes must have been me testing it. So whilst at the dealership we put the VIN into the BRP international computer, no warranty claims and the person it was first registered to was the guy I got it from.
No wonder its such a clean ski.

Nice. So you basically got the ski for free as you made money. Nice

Nice for you.
Not so nice for the original owner.

Nice score. We have a couple 3D's on our lake. It always makes me laugh when they pass by. Makes my day. I have always thought of the 3D as the "clown car" of the PWC world. The guys that ride them always look like they are having fun, though.
