which mods for 03 gtx sc?

talked to my mechanic about some off season work and he said he preferred the r&d air intake as he could install it a lot easier. I was thinking of the riva stage one kit for the ski. which parts work the best. much more time quoted for the riva than the r&d. money is not the key want the best results for a long term keeper ski. thanks for looking. bob

If you're looking to improve reliability first, upgrade the SC washers to metal, and the pump to metal BEFORE going with a Riva Stage 1.

    Just my $0.02.

If I remember correctly the r&d intake isn't a good choice because it's routed over the exhaust manifold but I haven't checked lately. Riva is the way to go on the intake but like the guy said before me, metal pump upgrade should be first! I can almost guarentee you that if you are still running the plastic pump it's warped.

The '03 doesn't have ceramic clutch washers. Have your mechanic check the torque, details are available on this site or in the service manual.
If clutch is worn out on an '03, you can upgrade the supercharger with the '06 upgrade kit. Then add the metal washers instead of the ceramic ones.
As far as the air intake, go with the Riva Stage 1 or read up on how to build your own 4" intake. If you want to save time and $$$, remove the intake for yourself and by then you'll have figured out how to reinstall the new one!
Good luck and get movin', the season's almost here!
