    1100 to 84mm (1200) waterbox question

    I have an 1100 in a 01 gp1200r hull. Its getting bored to 84mm to make it a 1200.

    My question is:

ive been using the 1100 waterbox from the raider.. since I am now going to 1200 (same raider motor) should I use the bigger waterbox from the gpr or keep the smaller 1100 raider waterbox in there?

Will I loose/gain anything from using either ?

Motor is ported, has altered 44mm carbs ,riva ported intake, 13/19, aftermarket f/a's, rear exit exhaust, girdled billet head, riva cdi , grate , plate and other thingies I cant recall at the moment.

My raider originaly had two with straight rear exit exhaust.
They were both black. I am now only running the one on the left hand side (engine exhaust pipe side). The gpr I got had a rear exit exhaust and one waterbox also.

The gpr waterbox is plain unpainted aluminum and the inlet is the size of the 1100 exhaust pipe. The original 1100 water box has a smaller opening and uses a rubber hose that necks down to allow it to fit.

Since the 1100 exhaust is thd same size as the oem gpr waterbox inlet I thought it might help out in expelling gasses faster n pick up some ponies. But I may be wrong, on these engines back pressure seems to play a role in horsepower production and I may hurt it instead of helping it.
