    slt 780 steering nozzle replacement

had a little accident.... and broke my steering nozzle and the tail cone before that.

according to the polaris parts finder there are some other skis with the same nozzle. it seems to me that many more than listed would fit but are they all the same nozzle size? for example would a 95 sl 650 work good enough and be close to the same nozzle size. reason i ask is that i cant see a 780 nozzle on ebay right now and there is a 650 for 29 dollars

    thanks in advance

here is some light entertainment (river boating) for any one interested....

You busted the jet pump exit nozzle, not the tail cone. Tail cone looks fine in the photo

Including your impeller needing a rebuild every few running hours, I think you are one of the hardest on jet pump parts I have seen!

These should all be the same as long as you look at 94 and newer. The 92/93 are not the same. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure you have the correct number of siphon tube pickups as some models had only 1..

Make sure the steering nozzle is not set up for trim, as it looks like you are not running with trim.

This appears to be a 92/93 part:

    As is this:

    And this:

If you can't find one on ebay, I am pretty sure I have one for you.... PM me if interested.

haha yeah you are right i meant exit nozzle. the exit nozzle broke and i had to do a few km across a lake at the end of the river so i cut the exit nozzle straight so i could move in a straight line at idle and use an oar for steering
as i cut the exit nozzle i managed to cut the tail cone too but i have a spare one that came with my new to me stainlees stator

yeah cool thanks for the info. i found one locally last night, but i want to get a spare to carry with me as well. i will be building a bit of a guard so im not smashing all these valuable parts every weekend :S
