Reverse cable lock broke off w/half of it still inside pump support - see pics
my steering cable lock broke with half of it still inside the pump support (had it too tight, my fault, learned my lesson!!).
so now i got to try to figure out how to get the other half of it out of the pump support!
any ideas besides pulling the pump and replacing the entire pump support?

Its plastic, so it can be turned out....Just need to use something that will dig into the plastic, and reverse it out....By hand.

A pair of really pointed, sharp needle nosed pliers is what I have used. Dig the spikes of the pliers into the remaining bit and unscrew.

I used a castellated nut with a backup nut, tapped it in gently then backed it out slowly. Good luck

I would replace the stering one as well.
In fact when it happens on the steering you will have fun getting back to the dock going in circles only one direction.
