    Flyboard or new Ski?

Hello, I have 2009 Yamaha FXSHO with 130hrs. I am trying to decide if I should sell it and get new FZR SVHO or keep it and get flyboard kit? Are those cool water pack fun and worth it? Thanks

jet lev is the backpack one which goes for $100,000

a flyboard has a platform you stand on and goes for around $7,000 the flyboard hooks up to your jet ski and someone must control the throttle from the ski, the kit to be able to control the throttle from the air is even more money.

both are very hard and extremely dangerous. I've never been on one but i'm sure someone around here has, wait awhile and someone will chime in

I bet the novelty of the fly board will wear off after a short time. Get a new ski and have another 130hrs of fun!

I agree. There is only so much you can do on a fly board IMHO. At some point I would think it would be more of a "show" around others then personal fun. No way I could see myself going out after work everyday to ride a fly board. I do however out about 20 hours a week on a ski.

I'm sure it'd be fun for a while, but it just doesn't seem practical, and i'm sure you'd get a lot more fun out of a new svho.

I don't think a fly board could ever give you the same Adrenalin and joy that jumping a perfect wave about to crash in the ocean does. at one point in my summer i was heading out to a sand bar a couple hundred feet off shore maybe 5 time a week. jumping waves can get to be an addiction

Those FlyBoard things are getting more and more popular. I had the same thoughts when they first came out...... that it would be fad that dies off quickly, but it looks like I was wrong about that. FlyBoard has become immensely popular throughout the world. I have lots of customers that have FlyBoards and they absolutely love the things.

You should see the authorized dealers popping up all over the globe. Their website shows quite a few places. I think this would be even more popular if the price was cheaper so more could afford it and if it was more universal.

That jetovator seems pretty cool ... but I bet its just as pricey, if not more than the jet board.

Just wait a few weeks for the video I shot, of Frankie Zappatta on one, at the World Finals. The tricks he can do on one, are nothing short of amazing. And, for just "cruising", he's up like 40+ feet in the air......looks controllable, and no rider on the boat-everything is controlled from the person using the flyboard.
