Rear cowl air intake does not fit now ?

I just finished installing a 4" Kanaflex intake and a Riva rear exhaust on an 04 RXP and now the air duct on the rear cowling will not fit between all the pipes. I'm not concerned about trimming it just want to make sure I have everything in correctly. Anyone else need to trim this or remove it ?

    Thanks
    Chris

    Remove it...

Most put a 3" fan in that area to suck hot air OUT...

Well after a second look I pulled the two clips and removed the air duct from the cowl then cut 2" off the top drilled new holes for the clips then reinstalled and it fits great now.

+1 Love the rear air...No prob with water intrusion but I ride a small lake mostly...Not any big rough water...Love the sound and performance gain is great...solid cold air...

Mods are in sig, I'm not looking to get the last .1 mph out of this thing. We ride the ocean a lot and it can be a wet ride so I would rather err on the side of caution when it comes to water ingestion.
