Jerry, I see that you removed some material that was in the path from the nozzle, Did it do anything for you? I noticed the same on my GTX with the wedge also...PR...

I gained some RPM's by doing the mod. I didnt really notice a speed increase though, but others have.

I also notice that there is quite a bit of play in the steering nozzle, up and down and left to right. The bushings seem to be good, not worn, I do remember the ski being that way when new. Can anything be done to tighten it up? Does any company make a new steering nozzle for the GTX SC? It wouldn`t really bother me if I did not have reverse...PR...

I didn't see any rpm or top end gain by doing it. But, with the trim all the way up it jumps out of the watre better than before, so I think it was hitting at full up trim. BTW I have a 2.0 degree wedge.

Well I did it! , wanted to fiddle with the ski in between setting up the christmas tree, so here it is, first cut the material with an air saw w scroll blade, then whizzed (die grinder) with medium grit 2" disc, radiused the corners and chamfered the curved edge, and blended sharp edges. then dragged file edge to flatten cut area and sanded with 220 grit wet and 320 grit wet, oh well, it came out OK...PR...
