Arrow What is this connector called, where do I find a mate for it?

This is the connector Polaris (and SeaDoo) use to plug the wire harness into the external start Solenoid on Virage, Genesis, MSX and possibly some other models.

I have a spare wire harness with this connector, which plugs into the solenoid. What I need to find is the matching/mating connector so I can make an 'extension cord' for the solenoid.

The only markings I can see on the connector are PED 40. I figured this was a Packard Electric Devices connector, but I cannot find a mate anywhere on the Delphi connectors web site.

It is apparently the same connector used on 1980's GM/Chrysler EGR vacuum Regulator solenoid, which cross references to Airtex 1P1006 EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid Connector. ACDELCO Part # PT247 seems to be the same.

However, nowhere have I seen any mention of what this connector is called or where I might find the mating socket.

I did a quick Google search and found this one. Looks to be the same.

Hmmm, MetriPack 150 . Let me see whether that helps...

Update: 12052641 seems to be the Metri-Pack Series 1.5? part number for the Female connector that matches the stock Polaris wire harness connector.

It would appear that the mating 2-pin Male connector body is Metri-Pack 12162000
    Pins are either 12045773 (0.8 to 1.0mm conductor) or 12077628 (0.35 to 0.5mm conductor)

However, the technical drawing (for that connector?) does not show the little side 'wings.

Looking at the last page of this brochure suggests that Connector Assembly 2F 12162193 is a match for the existing Polaris wire harness connector.
In different colors and wire sizes, perhaps any of 12162197, 12162194, 12162198, 12162195, 12162199

That might actually mate. Too bad it is not a proper 'wire harness' type of connector.
While this connector mates to the TPI/LT/LS coolant temperature sensor connector, the pins are molded into the plastic and require wires to be soldered.
    $13.50 each ! Nearly $8 each when I buy 5...

The Electrical Depot are selling it less expensively.

    Learning as I go

    What are Metri-Pack Pull-To-Seat Connectors?

"Pull-to-seat" (abbreviated P2S) refers to how a terminal seat or clicks into a connector. P2S is a sealed connector designed that uses a common multi-wire rear connector seal instead of individual cable seals on each terminal. A P2S terminal is crimped onto a wire which is then drawn backwards into the connector body through the front of the connector. The locking "tab" (or "spur") is oriented backwards compared to the common with sealed Metri-Pack 150, connectors designed to fit sensors, switches, or modules.

    The assembly instructions for Pull-to-Seat.

    Now to find the mate...

Ha, I just discovered the Polaris start solenoid wire harness connector was already documented here.

Still hunting for the mating connector...
