    Question GPS/sonar

I've recently switched my 10 years old STX-12f to Ultra 300x. I'm looking fro some GPS/sonar combo that would not be to obtrusive on the ski. We use ours for trips and water-sports (no racing) so I'd like to know here I'm and what is the depth. I narrowed it down to Lowrance Elite 5 HDI or Garmin GPSmap 441s. We live in SW Florida so coastal maps are necessity. There is another option to go with handheld GPS and separate sonar from Hawk-eye, but I'm afraid of the GPS popping out of the bracket. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also mounting of the transducer is very important since we have so much air moving under the ski.
    Thank you Michael

How do you mount the unit to the glove box? Velcro?

The glove box lid is cut to fit the unit and I used black RTV to hold it in place and to seal it....

Nice, i like it! Then if you want to take the device if you sell the ski just pop on a new glove box lid. Is this the one you use? http://www.lowrance.com/en-US/Produc...rk4-en-us.aspx
