Is it feasible to have my 38cc R&D heads milled to 40cc?

I picked up a set of 1200 heads pretty cheap, but they measure out to around 38cc, I have no intentions of running race gas, so was hoping to up the volume a bit. Can I gain a couple cc just by doubling up on the base or head gaskets, is that a bad idea?

    thanks

You should NOT double up on head gaskets. You can on the base, ( better to order a special thicker gasket though) but this will raise your port timing and affect the tune of your motor.

Better to either get correct domes, or have yours machined.
