Spectre Magnabraid for SS Vent Tube Cover?

I know JC Whitney used to carry stuff some guys here have used, and then Pep Boys, but do you guys think this Spectre stuff will work for making SS covered RXP vent hoses?

This says good for 1.5" to 2" OD hoses:

And even though it's designated as 1.75" (which is what I would have guessed is the right one for the RXP hoses), the details on the page say it's for 2 - 2.5" OD hoses:

Anyone tried either of these out?

That is a very good price, and I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine. You will want the the sleeving for a 1.5" to 2" hose O.D.

I bought mine from McMaster Carr and it worked great:

Stainless Steel Expandable Mesh Sleeving, 1-1/2" ID, 1-7/16" to 1-9/16" Bundle Diameter
    Part # 1478T8
    $7.38 per foot
