    Ride plate cracks - 300LX

Anyone experiencing a similar issue? Noticed these cracks after just a few hours on a brand new 2013 300LX.

Jet pump nozzle (boat stern) is far right in the photo.

    They are NOT cracks ,
that is just casting marks, nothing to worry about, go to your shed and get your electric sander and you can smooth the plate up and those mark will be gone .

what gives you that cockamamie idea , I cant see any WHITE corrosion anywhere , all I can see is brackish stain from fresh water creek !

But no visual sign of anything untoward. ..

Thanks for the responses; casting marks are obviously not a huge concern. I will buff the rough spots out as suggested.

Mine is definitely a salt ski; hasn't had a fresh water day yet. There is no corrosion in it or on it anywhere, including the ride plate. It gets a fresh water pressure cleaning, a "blow dry," and liberal dosing with anti-corrosion spray after each ride. Call me "anal."

Rice was spot on, about being a salt ski.
He must have zoomed in on the pic and read the casting flaws like reading your palm.
    Wow rice your good.
