The reduced oil temp (by 15-20 C) is certainly a welcome change, hopefully the new thermostat can be installed on any 300

Now how could you possibly know "anything" about "oil temperature"?

I venture to bet that Mal's nick-name for you won't be repeated at the next Bridge ---> Bridge

Yep, ol buzzer boy is my go-to man for oil temperature related issues Ed

Although, he has devised a top secret plan so it will not happen again next year

Hey guys I noticed there is two water box's. My 07 had two and the Riva system eliminated one of them. I'm assuming up until this year they had one box as well. Am I right? Why did they go back to two? Do u guys anticipate eliminating one of them?

yep your right guessing they went to two for emmissions + equalizing hull weight for the ones that whinged on the lean whilst docked and also for the ones whinging about the supposedly wet exhaust im sure guys will remove it..

These things don't lean, who the heck ever said that ???

Looks like some nice upgrades here. That oil temp chart is interesting, but not surprising to me. With this much Boost the engine / oil is going to be on the hotter side. I think keeping the oil "fresh" is the way to go with this Ski (as with all Ultras).

Would still love to see this as an 87 octane Ski, but since that's not going to happen I am willing to let that go. Very nicely done Kawasaki. JB

Since oil is a major issue to some, has anyone got any real data proof that oil is a problem with this ski and previous models, can you prove following the manual has caused a catastrophic failure? I think not. You all say that it needs to changed frequently. You guys get so mixed up in oil colors. Color has no bearing on oil being of lessor quality. I bet you would be suprised if you actually had the oil analyzed with factural information, my money says the oil is doing the job it was designed for.
