How to make 2012 Ultra 300LX faster?
After adding the SCOM and cool air intake mods from R&D Performance, I am currently running 70mph at WOT using GPS for accuracy.
What additional mods should I add to reach 74mph ?
Please keep in mind that I'm retired and living on a fixed budget so cost is definitely a concern. I am also not a mechanic but pretty handy with any type of basic repairs/mods.

R&D and Riva stage 1 kits both claim to put you at 74.

There are air mods you can do to get more intake. But be careful with this, because water can get in where air can.

For another 1-1 1/2 mph cheap ( $90) you can put on a wedge, they come 1and 2 degrees....gives a straighter water projectory thru the pump at the same raising the pump slightly higher bringing hull out of the water for less drag....I didnt like the wedge 2*personally...felt the ski losses its hook up and feels bouncer less planted no matter how I played with the trim...but did hit 75-75.8 ....you should give it a try for the price especially if you ride calm lakes or river trails

Good call Dave. I think the one I got was the 1* wedge - it is the one offered from R&D. I think they are sold in the On-Line store now too.
Yep - here it is:
I think I paid like $109- for mine.
If you enter GREENHULK for your coupon code - you get 10% off and with the spare money - you can send Dave some fine quality beverage for recommending the wedge for you
Lastly - I got < 500 dollars in mods done to my ski. I just read and learn mostly from the real contributors here in the Kawasaki Section.
Good Luck !!!

You've done pretty much all you need to do.
I'm not sure how many hours you have on it, but maybe give the Intercooler a clean too. Make sure the prop is in good condition also.
I wouldn't really spend money on chasing the next mph, it's really not worth it unless you are being beaten by your mates and need every last mph you can get

Very important maintenance step for optimum performance.
Here's another good thread from Mal - that you can basically "pick and pull" the level or air you want to get inside your hull.
Air REALLY helps these.
