02 gp800r how do you take the gauge cluster face cover off?

I have a bunch of water droplets under my face cover and would like to get rid of them. Is there an easy way of taking this face cover off? there must be tabs on the inside or something?Click image for larger version.

Yea, I'm fairly sure that it can be pried off at the edges but this is a flip ski a buddy and myself are working on and I dont want to crack it by forcing the issue. Since yours is trash...care to pry

It does not come off in one piece. The plastic is glued in. I broke mine trying to get it out because it was scratched. Still haven't figured out how to fix it yet.

Although it still works fine. I have put wide clear packin tape over it to keep the water out and that seems to work as a temporary patch. Looks tacky but 350 for a new gauge seems excessive also. I was thinking plexiglass and handfitting it with rtv would work fine.

I am pretty sure the gauges are a sealed unit, which prevents tampering of the electronics in the inside.

PM me if you need gauges

If there is water in the display pretty sure the seal is not working. Try the rice what do you have to lose.
