    dpracing's 2013 RXPX Build thread.

I ran the ski all summer with a Riva stage one without a SCOM due to the fact I was at 8040 at 67.5 mph and the SCOM did nothing. The ski is set up for afr and runs good numbers.

I complained to Riva and they stepped up and gave me a store credit for the SCOM.

So now I have the following list of mods going in the ski as we speak.

    VTECH:
    1100 cc injectors
    maptuner
    data logger
whittlebeast (Andy) will be tuning the ski.

I've installed a Supertech valve train upgrade. See pics

I checked the slip on the charger and it was at 4.5 lbs so I bought a set of McMasters and got setting the slip down pat.

Rest of the mods being installed right now:
    Gen III
    Hard pipes
    ET 137 + 4
    Viton oil seal
    solas 15/20R
    new wear ring

I'm hoping for some great acceleration and upper 70's for top speed in the 8600 to 8800 area.

Of course I'd like to see 80 but I'm keeping my expectations low.

Thanks very much! I'm waiting on the ET 137+4 to arrive then it's final assembly and testing time.

You are pulling some great speeds with the stock charger!

A little pre-assembly while I'm waiting on the ET wheel. I slipped the SC back in loose. Wanted to see how all these pipes fit.

I can't put the 4 inch air under the hard pipes, ain't no way. So this is how it all fit. Coolant bottle attached and exhaust tube in place, hard to see in the pic.

Now I gotta take it apart to do the SC wheel. Fun stuff though.

I'm talking about what would I think is normally a flush line? It's coming off the brass 90 degree fitting on the front of the IC where the intake and outlet pipes are. What are you doing with those? I think sometimes people hook up a pisser them?

It's the flush line with a tee in it, the line coming out of the tee is the pisser for the IC.

    per the Riva instructions.

How did you set yours up?

I didnt want to do it this way but the fitting on the IC is 3/8, the pisser is 1/4.

    Guess I could change the 90 to a 1/4.

Made some progress on the ski today, whittlebeast Andy helped me get my MAPTUNER working correctly, it would not accept tunes. Needed to get the latest software from VTECH.

We downloaded his VT 1100 tune to the tuner then up to the ski sucessfully.

Then we had to get my donor android phone linked up with the data logger. What a PIA, that's done, it's a really cool set up once it's all linked up correctly. Very easy to use.

Then I started disassembling the charger and took some pics.

I would like to give a big thanks to Andy, a.k.a. Whittlebeast, this man knows VTECH, computers and android phones like the back of his hand. I've been working with him over the phone for a while now and without his help I would have never been able to get this VTECH up and running so easily.

His customer service has been A1 and he's an easy guy to deal with.

Jonatan at VTECH has also been very easy to deal with and easily accessible via his cell phone.
