    1995 SLX780 impeller choices, 5131371 vs 5131079

    OK, have been working on the project ski again after a LONG hiatus to a different hobby.

    Got the hull repaired and painted with VC17, though it isn't as smooth or as red as I had hoped for...it is done.

    Got the pump apart and it had a 5131371 impeller in it. This is listed as a 15-20.

    The manual says it is supposed to have a 5131079, which I have that part that came loose in the ski.

    I can't find the pitch on the 5131079, anyone know what it is?

    The 5131371 fits better at 0.007" clearance to the slip ring.
    The 5131079 is about 0.010" clearance.

    Which should I use?

    Also, I bought an adjust-a-thrust from wetwolf for this ski. The pump had a plastic spacer between the cone and the back of the stator. Anyone know if I need to reuse this if using the adjust-a-thrust?

    I was leaning that way already.

    Hey n00bs who think "It spins...OK...I won't bother tearing it apart and replacing things...I want to ride!" here are some bearings that spun 'OK'. I think they are fine and I'll be putting them back in when I reassemble...what a waste of time tearing that apart!

    The stator from the SLX was beat up pretty bad on the blades, so it goes to the parts bin and a better one from the bin goes in the ski. So yeah, I took several apart today. Gotta love the toaster oven and hydraulic press!
