    STX-15F Exhaust Manifold

I new when I took this thing off, it would be a b#$%^ to put it back on.
I've wrestled with it for a couple of hours and my hands are pretty bloody so I thought I'd take a break.

Any tips? I don't think I can loosen the motor mounts because I don't think you could tighten it again. I've got the blue collar and water box loose and floating but I can't get the studs to line up.

    Hey Sean,
So if you bolt on the manifold on first, then there's enough room to slide the water box into the collar? The waterbox has a foot welded on which sits in a recess in the bottom of the fiberglass hull. It doesn't look like a lot of wiggle room but I'll give it a shot

    thanks

Yep, the box has enough room. You put the box in the hull, then slide it back. You can then fit the manifold and bolt it up, slide the box forward and you are good.

That statement is very, very important. Sean helped me through this last year also. Only difference is that I had the waterbox out of the machine and not in place as Sean says. After I had the manifold bolted up, there was absolutely no way I could get the waterbox in. I wound up removing the manifold again and doing it this way.

Always happy to help, I learned this the hard way as well.
