gtx di 2002 blue rave valve settings

Hi guys. Seadooer from the uk here.

I was just after some advice really regarding my Seadooo GTX di 2002. Its pretty much as brand new really and only done 50 hours. The blue rave valve adjusters are set at 3 turns screwed in on each pot.

Just wondered if its right of wrong or where it should be for good all round skiing ?

    Thanks everyone.

You mean the blue turny bits on top or the metal valve under the blue cap & spring? I guess they both turn actually dont they.

Where do you set them both ????????

the blue adjusters "blue turny bits" as you call them-- fully seated is where seadoo sets them to. The black caps that are threaded onto the blades need to be snug tight.

Thanks Jim. I wind on the valve stems to the blades snug and re assemble the spring and wind in the blue adjusters.
Out of interest , whats the point of the blue adjustment?

I suspect seadoo did not want to make a new rave cap mold to change the design from 95-07-- a few steal safe changes were made to keep the owners from taking them apart as you see on the bosses on the sides-- these later rave caps are used on the skidoo snowmobiles and those bosses are used to fasten the caps onto the housings using small bolts. A 4 cavity injection mold running glass filled Nylon with sub gates is in the ball park of $30,000-- P20 mold base and h13 inserts. Less part numbers and less parts to keep on hand.
