This is very common on the VXR when pushed to 70 mph or more.

i completely settled mine out by installing this Farthing ride plate

the bad news is they are currently on back order

Until you get that sorted out I would slow down some! The "swaying from side to side" thing sounds like you are very close to getting tossed big time. Ride safe. JB

+1, be careful, we now have 4 reports where owners claim to have been bucked off stock VXR's, also are you running the stock intake grate? You probably should get one of these grates...

You can read more about the bucking problem here:

By the way Jerry, is there a reason the bucking thread was removed off the sticky section? Maybe somebody accidentally removed it, thought you guys might want to put it back up there.

Yoyamma is right, I don't see an intake grate in your modifications list. This is a big mistake on a modified VXR. Get a grate on that thing ASAP!!

i will look into the sticky post. thanks for the heads up!

The grate alone won't be enough to stop it likely. You can put a fender washer or two under the rear bolts of the ride plate to trim it down. I'm hoping the new SVHO plate will be for sale as an OEM part and will fit the VXR as I suspect it will have some really positive effects on this platform as well.

that will not help it at all, will make it worse, shim the rear down .5mm/.020 or .8mm/.030 to start with

It will not help the bounce but it will prevent it from stuffing. He's on the verge of overstuffing it.

bananaut, please get an intake grate on that thing ASAP!!!
