    MFI virage i 2002

I have just wheeled my virage i 2002 out to get it ready for summer here in Australia and found my screen looking like this. Is it stuffed? or can it be fixed?

    Start hunting for a replacement

The LCD itself is failing. No harm in powering it up and even riding with the display looking like that, but I expect the degradation to worsen over time.

An MFI display from any year of Virage or Genesis will fit and work.

The Genesis displays will show slightly incorrect speedometer readings. On the upside, certain versions of the Genesis display have a compass.

There is a chart of the various MFI display variations in the MFD section from my signature links.

I just pulled it out and have it sitting here staring at me. I want to open it up and try and replace the screen , but not sure on how to open it up without destroying it. I have read in a previous post that I am not alone in not knowing how to open it.

I am looking for a genisis one now as I like the idea of a little compass

Where would you source a replacement LCD screen, other than taking apart another working MFI display?

I will need to get it out first to see sizes or a part number of the screen, but china is always a great place to get lcd screens
