I was expecting to read something like "9.5s, molnar rods, open loop plate and some kind of larger charger".

Don't burst don's bubble, he brought it to 2 other shops and neither could fix the problem, so he's a little excited to have his ski back up and running properly after 2 years or so.

chris sent me a ported built head up to Canada and it works well.. with a riva ecu and the head work it gave me 5 MPH gain.. went from 77mph to 82-83mph now... works well

Someday maybe I'll have enough dough to waste and actually mod a ski. Everyone I know who mods'em breaks'em

Totally true... But I've yet to see a ski that has been moderately or heavily modified run well for any length of time. Not to say it can't be done especially by a qualified guy like Chris. My belief is that skis are just way to tempermental to mess with unless ofcourse you have the funds to invest with

ive been modded for 3 years... STOCK pistons bottom end ..... when we had the head off to install the new one my pistons were looking good and cylinder walls all still cross hatched. Compression and leakdown after the head was installed was very strong as well. this year im running riva ecu and the built head on stock pistons issue free with a big charger.. all comes down to a good tune and how well you dial in your skis AFRs .. I have 2 regulators a rrfpr and a beGi setup so I can fine tune ..
