    Lightbulb Where/how/who?? MSX-150 coolant thingamebob

    Hi guys

I'm slowly but surely putting a MSX-150 back together and I've come across problem number 1. The coolant pipe (or whatever it is I've circled in red) is damaged beyond repair. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might find such a thing?

Bugger. I'm wondering how you damaged the pipe beyond repair.

I've never taken one of these water fittings off the exhaust manifold... so not sure if they are pressed in or threaded in. And I've never seen them removed and for sale separately from the manifold...

So you could buy the whole turbo exhaust manifold as pictured... or brave uncharted waters and attempt to remove yours and see if you can fix it.

If you have a bad turbo already... you could just buy a new/rebuilt manifold/turbo combo.

    Cheers!

It sits in a recess with an o-ring to seal and is locked in with a collar and bolt. I'm not sure why the guy before decided to remove it but he managed to rip off the pipe that runs back under the manifold. I'll keep a look out for a replacement part and if necessary I guess I can make something that works... I just really didn't want to have to do one of my 'special' fixes so early into the project! I've already ordered (and paid for) a new turbo cartridge and I'm pretty committed to fixing this one.

I've got a CNC router project that's about 90% finished so worse case scenario I'll just make a new collar and weld up something to suit.

I have new pipes available & in stock.
The big problem is removing the old one first, as they are usually corroded into the manifold.
if you would like to order one; contact we direct thru Weberpower.com

    Thank you,
    Randy

It looks as though this one was damaged when it was removed. I've emailed [email protected] with a query on part 101789.
