    TDR vs. Riva Waterboxes

I'm converting my exhaust to an 08+ setup, and I've got a midpipe already. Now I'm looking to do the waterbox, and a thru-hull exhaust.

What's been the experience among owners of the TDR waterbox vs. the Riva?

    Both flow about the same...

TDR is more raspy (compared to Riva), since there is no extension of the outlet pipe into the box to retain water...so exhaust and water exit together...

Riva is deeper tone (compared to TDR), since the outlet is extend about 1.5-2" inches into the box, which retains water for a bit longer...which helps cool the box and mellow out the note...

Riva waterbox with Riva rear exist...sounds so awesome....not raspy...doesn't drone.

I actually like the "nastier" exhaust sounds in general, so that doesn't scare me off. The TDR also seems like a WAY better deal. I only ride fresh water, so not overly worried about the fact that the TDR isn't powder coated (and if i was, I could powder coat the TDR I suppose).

That's the way I'm leaning, unless there's a compelling reason to go Riva.

Also, anyone got a shot of what the TDR rear exit looks like? Can't seem to find one with Google image search.

Also, would a Riva rear exit kit work with the TDR? Just wondering in case one pops up here used in the classifies as to whether I should snag it -- so I'll have something that works regardless.

Probably just get what you want...not sure there is really any big difference between any of them. People go real fast through the stock setup...so if your doing it for performance...I'd buy some other things first.

Both boxes "reference" the same exhaust outlet location, which is the Riva outlet location when using their template...That pretty much is the standard location for everyone that does a rear exhaust...

Riva water box was actually built on the dyno. Outlet depth of exit pipe protruding into the water box is key for best performance.
has spun ends for better flow
    mandrel bent exit pipe
    powder coated
    quality is second to none.
Riva waterbox is definitely the way to go!

There's no comparison between the two! One can, and will cause major issues.... and the other is an absolute piece of art.
