Arrow 1999 Genesis FFI Ficht Service manual specifies Champion QC10PEP spark plug

Somehow I have overlooked this until today

From page 7.1 of Service Manual 9915673

Note: Use only Champion QC10PEP spark plug in Genesis FICHT .030" gap is critical!

I wonder if this simply pre-dates the availability of the NGK PZFR6H spark plug, or Polaris discovered that the Champion QC10PEP was just not good enough in some manner.

    Thread Reach:19mm
    Hex Size:16mm
    Terminal Type:Solid
    Tip Projection:extra projected
    Resistor:Yes
    Seat:flat
Certainly the retail price is lower...

The Polaris part number for the Champion plug is 3070186, according to one parts cross reference I have on hand.

nope but that mention in the manual would be enough for me to buy the whole bag..IF I had a couple of 99's.

Not that I've ever had to replace one of the uber pricey plugs due to wear and tear....pretty hard to foul those. an evening soak in some paint thinner is all I've ever had to do to restore them to like new.

I have not hunted (much) for the answer but does anyone have a link or a recollection of Polaris changing the recommended spark plug for the 1999 Polaris Genesis FFI to the NGK PZFR6H spark plug?

In other words, is the Champion QC10PEP still the 'genuine' correct spark plug for the 1999 FFI engine?
