The other restriction is the intake manifold inlet. It necks down to less than 60mm........and bends the airflow slightly to match the flame arrestor.

On a boosted motor I don't see this helping much, While in the boost anyway, little more throttle response down low but that's about it.

Ported intakes and throttle body and such don't help as much on a boosted motor like they do on a naturally aspirated engine.

Really? Then why do the DBW ski have a 60mm TB, and 5 more HP?

Im guessing not from just the throttle body.

Same reason I put a ported head on my ski and only saw gains before boost kicked in.
Top end gaind zero rpms and almost no speed.

The DBW does not have an Idle Bypass Valve anymore, like the old cable...At idle the butterfly becomes slightly cracked open to control idle now.

Open up the intake manifold inlet.....permits more volume of air in with less restriction.

My cable operated TB does not use the IAC valve......MoTeC ECU. The butterfly is also cracked open slightly same as the DBW TBs.
