DBW Throttle Body vs Cable Diameter.
Comparing the Drive By Wire throttle body vs Cable actuated diameters.
Drive By Wire. Bosch ECU

The other restriction is the intake manifold inlet. It necks down to less than 60mm........and bends the airflow slightly to match the flame arrestor.

On a boosted motor I don't see this helping much, While in the boost anyway, little more throttle response down low but that's about it.
Ported intakes and throttle body and such don't help as much on a boosted motor like they do on a naturally aspirated engine.

Really? Then why do the DBW ski have a 60mm TB, and 5 more HP?

The DBW does not have an Idle Bypass Valve anymore, like the old cable...At idle the butterfly becomes slightly cracked open to control idle now.
