anyone here with a SKI DOO or Lynx snowmobile ?

Vtech are now looking for testers for the tunes for the 600 and 900 ace engines.

If you have or know anyone who have a ski doo or a Lynx and want to test some tunes for us.

There may be a need to send stock ecu to Jerry to have it read.

The tunes are ready but its for minor variations of the tunes, like throttle response and similar.

We are also looking for someone that want to to buy a turbo kit for Ski Doo 900 Ace at cost price.
The tuning for it is already done and ready.
    Just install it and go.

We want some feedback on the kit, long time fuel consumption and similar.

Our turbo kit will give your stock 90 hp ski 170 hp at 8000 rpm.

Sorry for this post in a Watercraft forum but we all share the same passion for speed and performance....

email [email protected] for more info regarding this!

yes, this forum has many boost addicts
    here is my 2 cents
most who turbo a sled/ski do it for max power right
why would anyone spend the coin your talking about just to be below a wimpy 215 stock ski
    same for the skidoo/lynx
for the same money you can have 3-400+ HP
the turbo market is small and the market to boost those tiny POS motors is very, very small
here is the key info....people who buy the tiny motors don't want big HP...go figure
now if you want to work on the skidoo 1200 contact me

Is it the 1200 cc with 130 hp you have?

I think we do have a turbo kit for them that give 260 hp if I am not mistaken .(with lowered compression) and 180 hp with stock.

But reason for 900 ace tunes is since that is in the new spark .

he wasn't asking if anyone thought it was practical, cost effective, or if the majority wanted to turbo a spark. he was asking if anyone was willing/wanted to do so.

it's not a dig on you but i get tired of hearing "people who buy a spark want a bare bones cheap blah blah blah...." let be realistic, people (like us gear heads) will try and make ANYTHING with a motor fast. hell some people even put motors on barstools.

if they want to make it, there's no need to down play or speak negative about it

Chris, do the ACE 900 and 1200 engines not have knock control?

okay yes that makes sense. I'm pretty sure the newer motors with Bosch ecu's have it. Jonatan can confirm.

Yes all bosch ecus have knock control.
It can actually be fine tuned so you can set how much it should retard per cylinder at a time.

So stock settings may be that once it sense knock it will retard 3 degrees at at a time, so -3, - 6 and so on.
But you can then change that to -1,5 degree at a time.

The processor in the bosch ecu is very good / fast.
Regarding siemens based ecu, that is a much older processor.
