    Sank my 2013 FZS SHO

We were riding this weekend and we lost steering, all of a sudden the ski started sinking rapidly. The water got about the engine and needless to say, it won't start. After hours of fighting we got the ski on land and after tearing up my yard trying the pull the trailer and ski up the embankment we got it out of the water. About 50 gallons of water poured out of the ski. The engine is hydro locked, water in the oil and it's basically useless. Well, after investigation I found the cap coming off the back of the hull for the steering linkage had busted off leaving a quarter sized hole in the hull. Just wondering, this should be covered under warranty correct? And if so what is my estimates time off the water waiting. And if it's not under warranty what is it going to cost to get back on the water? There is no reason warranty shouldn't cover it but I'm pretty ticked that my brand new ski with 65 hours just sank in my lake...

If you can prove that was the reason I'm sure it will be covered. If not, I see you paying way over $5k to get it back on the water..

Lol it's pretty obvious, there is a quarter sized hole in the hull where the steering connections come through

Have you ever tried to have a ski, damaged like this, repaired under warranty?
    Good luck.

Regardless of who but the water needs to be removed from the motor or it will be toast real soon.
A bilige pump could of helped with that size hole.
Its the best money spent on any ski.

This is why I put a manual bilge pump switch on all my skis so I can run the pump while the engine is off! Tommy Jordan

i'd be making a serious effort to get that engine started. could be worth a couple of grand to you if you don't get warranty coverage.

Is it insured? If so, insurance may cover it if Warranty doesn't.
