2006 GP1300 R wont go past 5000 rpm
I have a problem with my 2006 1300r. It will rev normally while its sitting on its trailer but when in the water it will not pass 5000 rpm. The cat has been taken out (didnt use a chip) a year ago. This problem just started all of a sudden while driving a couple of weeks ago. I have seen posts about powervalve problems. How can you tell if its a powervalve issue?? Also where are the powervalves located? Is it the motor thats the common problem?
Could it be a fuel problem, injectors/ fuel pump?
No fault codes displayed
Any help is much appreciated

It could be something as simple as fouled spark plugs. Your motor does not have powervalves. The last year for the powervalve motor was 04.
