08+ O2 Sensor Install for Dummies?

Picked up an MTX AFR gauge, and from what I've read, it seems it's time for some drilling and tapping!

I've read as much as I can find, but nothing that's giving me enough confidence to move forward on my own. Does anyone have an O2 Sensor Install how-to floating around? I plan on making a YouTube video when doing mine, but I want to make sure I do it right.

I've got an 08+ midpipe already, but it sounds like the exhaust manifold is the right place to install the sensor. So I'll start shopping for an 08+ exhaust manifold (274001434) since I hear they're better to drill and tap.

Any other pointers -- knowing that I've never done anything like this before?

    Thanks!

Tap the manifold. Mine is in the flat area next to the 90* water fitting on top. Seem to be a good place to put it.

Yep. Exactly the type of thread I was looking for. Google returned so many threads, however (even with site:greenhulk.net option), that I didn't find it. Thanks!

Here is the link that I posted for the older manifolds that are thin,

    http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...light=manifold
the key is getting the pilot hole drilled dead center, and having a good clamp on the manifold so it will not move, 15mm drill bit is just enough for the oxy sensor to go in to the bottom, but you only need to tap the top 1/2"-do not tap the compete length of the hole, good luck

OK - so now I'm not scared to take a shot on my 06 manifold. I'll print out the photos of the cut one, and take it to a local machine shop.
