    FX SHO low fuel alarm

    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if when the low fuel alarm is on does the ECU limit the rpm/performance as it does with low oil and high temp?
    Cheers
    Lee

I've been there twice Lee, & did not have limited performance. Could still run max. rpm's. Should be the same for the SHO's.

No it doesn't. Best speed runs are on the buzzer.

i have a 2012 FX SHO Cruiser. When the low fuel buzzer goes off there is NO performance issues, none. I just push the button to get rid of the buzzing. I think I did about 75+- Miles before the buzzer came on. Alot of cruising 35-55 MPH, I still had enough fuel to play for awhile before I put her on the trailer. You have no lowered RPM's on the buzzer. As far as i have seen, it is just a warning that you have ridden a lot today... Hope this helps ease your mind. Enjoy!!

FYI when the fuel beeper goes of there is app. 4 u.s. gallons of fuel left in tank , I rode 23 more miles 35-50 mph befor i ran completly out. ( I had a spare gas can it front of ski) I did this as a test just to see how far the fuel range was ( at moderate speed) after the beeper came on. I ride a FZR, Tommy Jordan

My 2012 FX SHO exactly the same; approx 4 gallons left in the belly of the Tank. When that buzzer goes off you better know how far away the Trailer is, or a gas dock! JB
