    Prop and Intake Question

Looking at some parts for my VXR, will I notice a difference between the power plenum filter and the riva kit? $500 is a little much for a intake, Also what pitch prop should I get? Sticking to "bolt ons" I'm not sure If I'm going to get a reflash yet.

Are you aware of all the pieces that come with the VXR air intake? This is a first class piece and like any other Riva product it looks factory.

If front storage is not an issue I would spend the money. Supposed gains of up to 20hp.

20hp on an air intake? No way. I just read the product description from Riva and it does not say that.

Riva Racing Performance Kit for Yamaha VXR

Riva's cool-air intake is a first for watercraft.

Months before other dealers and the media had seen the new*Yamaha VXR*models, Riva Motorsports* was tearing a prototype apart, trying to figure out how to make it go faster. And in January, Riva will offer a hop-up kit for the VXR it claims will offer a gain of 25 horsepower and five mph in top speed.

Drama, build your own. R&D aquavein grate and i would wait on prop pitch till you add a couple mods this way you aren't re-pitching as often. Also very important and extremely helpful to get an aftermarket tach to help dial in your ski...good luck , Bruce
