Go Fast Parts for 06 RXT and 05 GTX

I do not want to take motors apart at this time and I want both ski's to be ridding by family members No all out loud over top racers. I have been learning as much as I can from this forum (thanks) What I would want is some help with a parts list for both the 05 185hp(stock) and my 06 215hp (Riva stag 1 kit from 2006) I'm thinking of the installing the x superchargers on both with the 42lbs injectors and changing the props to the one jerry suggested 15/20 Can I do this to both ski's as the 05 185hp is non inner cooled and what speeds will they run, will I need other stuff, if so give explanations as what and why and how its better. I'm doing some cosmic make over on the 05GTX and Jerry just rebuilt the stock supercharger but after looking at some of your threads I have the bug to make a little more power! Thanks

The yellow ski is an 03 or 04 unless it's been repainted, 05s were blue and white. The last two numbers of the HIN are the year.

The 185hp skis are a bit of an odd ball as they were only made for four years. Personally I would spend money to keep it reliable and leave it stock if it's going to be a loaner / friends ski. This is what I have done with my 05 it's bone stock I bought it last spring with 62hrs and it had over 120hrs when I winterized it. Oil changes, spark plugs and lots of gas is all it required and it runs right around 60 mph on the GPS.

I'm learning on the 4Tecs and this is what I have figured out so far. The 215hp models get a nice upgrade from a 4" intake, X charger, 42lb injectors and impeller to match. Next step would be an external intercooler which requires a different fuel pressure regulator to keep the AFRs correct. On my RXP I plan on installing an ET127 wheel in the charger (similar boost to an X charger) 42lb injectors and probably leaving it at that unless I win the lottery.

your 185 ski has a different flywheel than all other SC 1500's
so you must ether change flywheel or change the gear on the X charger to the gear from the stock 185 SC
upgrading to the X is IMO about all the stock 185 motor can run safely
the biggest HP gains are with external intercoolers
but then you will also need ether a vtec or cmd
a 127 wheel IMO is too much for 42lbs with out more upgrades
last plan on installing a way to monitor the afr
like a gage or better the vtec logger on both skis

Are you talking about a 185 or 215 motor ?

I'd check if your 06 has the good exhaust valves or the ones that are prone to failure.
I've seen many fail at the worst time.
There is a sticky on exhaust failure you should read.

On the 185hp ski I'd make it the family n friends ride. It's plenty fast for them... You really don't want a novice riding any faster than that 185hp ski will go.
I've seen those 06 rxt skis in the mid to upper 70s for a couple grand.
    Check out the greenhulk store.
Jerry had got the goods to make her purr...

So, the 185hp ski is a 04 that does make since for other reasons, Thanks for the info. I think I will maybe just do the RIVA Stage 1 on the 04 185hp GTX as I'm sure it could use a new prop and the cold air intake will help. I could just get the air intake that Jerry sells and leave it alone with the rebuilt supercharger and new cosmetic's. I have ridden it and even with 260+hrs it still runs strong. Its hard to believe but the supercharger had never been rebuilt and this GTX was ridden very hard by everyone and there brother. How many hours can they go before complete rebuild on the motor and what does that cost ball park?

Just checked the VIN and the last two were 04, so she's a 2004!!

I just sold a 04 185hp ski with 594 hrs and it had perfect compression and ran great.

    So on my RXT 215hp:
I'm sure the valves are fine it was one of the last one built in 06 when I purchased it new, the 07 were just arriving in late fall of 2006.

    So the mods:
    Xcharger 42lbs injectors and a 15/20 prop 4inch intake = should run 75mph??
Can all these parts just bolt on and go or do I have to do something with the fuel management/computer, exhaust can be left stock?

I have the Riva stage one on the 06RXT will that intake work on the GTX04? then I could just purchase the 4inch intake for the RXT06. Will the prop work on the 04GTX that I have with the Riva stage one on the 06RXT? I'm thinking not because the power difference but it might not even mount on there if the shafts are different?

This is great to know, I'm sure this GTX will lead a much better life in my hands so I'm looking forward to it running many years.

Your not running 75 mph on a GPS with just an x charger injectors intake and prop on a
    rxt

Then again the Easter bunny has been on here too along with the tooth fairy
