GP1300R D Plate or no D Plate?
So i just picked up my first PWC, 2006 GP1300R with 108 hours on the clock. Well looked after machine and everything seems tidy. The previous owner had it about a year and is only selling due to purchasing a spark (better fuel economy he tells me).
Anyway i have been reading through this forum over the last week and read a lot about D Plates. The owner has done no work to the ski and is not sure if it has a D plate or not. I took the photos attached and hope someone on here can tell if it has one or not?

Wellcome aboard, from the photos above it looks like you have the d-palte installed try and check to see if yo have the cat/con sender in place, if this is not then (blanked) or the wire is not connected to the elec box and insted you will find a connector with a small black chip then yes its with a d plate fitted...

You cannot tell from those pictures whether it does or does not have a d-plate. Best check the wiring for the cat temp sensor(the sensor mounted just past the cat con on the fat part of the pipe before it bends down behind the motor. If sensor is there and wired up to elect box, most likely does not have d-plate.

Just as the other two have said. Look and see if the chip has been installed. I just put a d plate in one of my 03's with 165 hours. Always ran yamalube, but the cat was still coming apart. The d plate is a great modification because the ski runs cooler and you can switch to a synthetic oil. Here is what my cat looked like.

Does the 2001 SUV 1200 have a catalytic converter too?
Just curious if someone might know without me calling the stealership?
