    Name this part

I have two of these sitting in my garage and they came from a PWC. I have had every brand and just can't figure out what this is. Anyone recognize this?

maybe try listing the specific skis that you've had, that would give people a more narrowed down answer

    It is an electrical part.

Three wires; Black, Red, Brown. Bullet connections. Black wire with Red stripe.

Made of metal, looks like a sealed compartment.

    Roll over engine kill switch?

out of my skis, the only thing it looks similar to is the wires in my electrical box on the kawasaki. not the same part but it does have some resemblance. maybe a different model or year kawasaki.

its a start but i may be completely wrong lol

Its a sealed box and the other side shows nothing different. Also there is no worthy identification numbers either.
I was thinking its something aftermarket.

Does it make a gentle clunk or click as you rotate it? May need to be in a quiet room to hear anything.

I am still thinking it might be a roll over sensor.

If it was in my hands I would be shining a light inside that hole on the back and peering inside.

And hooking up a multimeter to check the wires for continuity changes while tilting and rotating it.

What does a Black wire with Red stripe mean? Each brand tends to keep the wire color coding somewhat consistent over the years, so it might not be that much work to look it up for each brand.

The bullet connectors make me think this thing harks from the 2-stroke era when semi-exposed wiring was common.

Apparently the older Kawasaki 2-stroke carburetor engines used Black/Red wire for the magneto stator exciter/trigger coil to CDI module connection.

Did Kawasaki use bullet connectors for their ignition interconnections back then?
