    Engine serial numbers and valves

I am considering purchasing a used Seadoo. I know that the valves were a problem untill about 2006. Does anyone know what engine serial number Rotax made the change to the better valves? I do not think the seller would like me to take the valve cover off and the rocker shaft off so I can see the number on the valve. Any ideas? thanks.

No need to remove the rocker shaft to see the numbers on the top of the valve stems. You only need to remove the valve cover and with a good strong flashlight you should be able to see the numbers. Look for the exhaust valve number to start with a 75
