Has anyone tried yet the R4 reflash from R&D?
I was wondering if anyone has tried yet the r4 reflash from R&D. If anyone has, I would like to know how the afrs are throughout the rpm range. Also if you had a prior tune, how it compares. Thanks.

I do have it. I cant say that I would spend the money to upgrade from the R3 tune but I would definitely buy it again.

Yes I stepped down from the R6 running VP MS 109 fuel to the R4 running 93 Octane and already spoke to you about it, so this post must have been before we spoke. I can say the R4 does seem to have more power than the R3 because with the R3 I use to spin/cavitate about 3 - 5 times if I stabbed the throttle from idle, but now it is upwards of 7+ times. I am also on the rev limiter now and at 3/4 throttle i am at 9100 rpm with the R4. Before with the R3 I was about 8900-9000 WOT. I also require more fueling with the R4. My base pressure has to be about 4 pounds more with the R4 than the R3. With the R3 I had a bad lean spot durring the transition between vacuum and boost which was at cruising speeds which caused a bad surging so I would have to let out of the gas or give it more gas and got really annoying. I did not notice that with the R4.
The really odd thing is that with the R6 and race fuel I only ran 87.X (Only had cell phone and didnt have tenths) mph with the stock pump setup I am running now and with the R4 it ran 89.7mph at 9100 rpm in windy weather conditions and choppy water. So far I am happy with the R4. Now that I am fixing a few things with the exhaust, it will allow me to dial my AFR in better so I will have a better judgement.
From my understanding in talking with Glenn, the R4 is on the edge and cannot be run on a rec ski WOT all day long like the R3, only in short busts maybe up to about a mile at a time and you will need valvetrain upgrade. He also recommended me to run either AV Gas or Sunoco 100. Last time out I ran Shell 93 Octane and completed a 90 mile ride. For most, the R3 is a great tune, but for those that want a little extra the R4 seems to be the way to go. It is in what you want in the end. I think the R4 has 1 degree more timing.
It is tough for me to put back to back numbers together since I have had so many changes in between my R3 and my R4, but hope this helps.
