    Help main shaft fzs

Hey guys I have a 2012 fzs that sold about a year ago and just bought back. The main prop shaft has the skat impeller seized on it and have tried everything to get it to move and nothing is working. We had to cut the std prop off to put the skat on. Is there any one that knows of a after market shaft or have a second hand one. Will have to get a new prop as well, just seeing if anyone can shed some light on what I can do. The reason for removing the prop worn and cavertating bad on take off I think the guy before me was using for a sand shovel
    cheers matt

I have changed my impeller many times, with out problem. The stocker was the hardest. Never seize and torque to spec. Sounds like you need a new impeller anyway. I would be checking clearances once the new impeller is in. A bit of heat can also help when removing the impeller.

Why do you need a new shaft,Did you bust it up getting the old prop off?
mine was on so tight I busted my vice in half after heating it and spraying WD.
end up palming it off to northcoast motorsports in caloundra $40 they done the swap same day.
They might be able to get a shaft in, or try jetsport down in southport tel:5531 3855 they are parting out an FZR.

Heat it up mate. My stock was similar and when heated it came off straight away.

Heat may help. Like the above posters said, use anti-sieze from now on and also torque to spec before hitting the water. Also beware that the skat removal tool can deform (or round off a little) if you try to force it. Here is my set up for removing props.... I use a 6 foot metal breaker bar which works, albeit still requires a lot of force to break the prop loose.

I too have had issues in the past. So far I have been able to remove all of them with the exception of one impeller from a turbo ski. That some bitch was on there, but I think with some heat and persistence it would have broke free. I found this tool used and has been the best $250 I spent. Unfortunately they dont sell them any more, but I guess at $500 it was to much money. Where are you located?

Yes, it is reverse thread. Looking down the shaft down to the impeller the impeller must be turned clockwise to remove it.
    Oh, ok.
