Supertech Valves, Springs and Retainers as well ?

I am replacing the intake and exhaust valves in the RXP with the Supertech kit, is there any advantage to upgrading the springs and retainers at the same time ? Any problems keeping the oem stuff ? Do most of you guys replace the valve seals at the same time ? Motor has about 120hrs on it with no obvious signs of burning oil.

I have no plans to increase the rev limiter past the factory 8100. Even if I do get ambitious down the road the springs can be upgraded in the future without pulling the head.

Do the valves, and replace the seals also. If your not planning to spin over stock rpm's.... leave the oem springs & retainers in there.

no need to do springs but i would do the retainers with the valves in case that speed itch gets bigger. that way you if you ever want to spin a bit more rpm there is no worries, just change flywheel bolts.

I have seen springs AND retainers break on about 8 different engines, ranging from GTI 130HP to 2010 RXPX at stock RPM.

Will the Supertech retainers work with the stock springs ?
