changing of the guard . more yamaha's on water than seadoo's.

I went to the local lake on the weekend and for the first time ever there were more Yamaha's than Seadoo's around 20 to 12.

Our plans are proceeding much more rapidly than originally expected.

Doesn't surprise me, I've seen this trend also.
Yam offers a year more warranty than Sea-Doo here in Florida, I'm sure that helps. But Sea-Doo has a lot more marketing and advertising out there. BRP claims they have been the market share leader in the watercraft industry for 19 years, but I don't know where they stand today. They announced they were leaving the sport boat market last year, and I read they are moving some of their production to Mexico to save costs. There have been some reports of a 75% drop in sales...

The Sparks as well as the Can-Am ATV's are made in Mexico.

As far as a changing of the guard, not here...We cant sell a Yamaha, nobody wants them.

Eventually most or all of Sea-Doo's production is supposed to move to Mexico because they need the space on the assembly line in Canada for the Can-Am Spyder.
