    Any one having trouble with there fuel pump on a 300x

    The revs are not building past 7200.
    freash engine clean cooler rebuilt pump

    Why do you say fuel? That is roughly the same revs a broken exhaust filter can cause.

    New one fitted with the hole in.
    The engine runs really well just lack off top rpm

    have you confirmed timing is actually correct and i mean really correct in checking top dead center and counting correct links.

    SCOM isn't connected? Is it going 68 MPH at 7200?

    I have the washers, timing has been checked all ok.
    I was hitting 7200 61mph before 8000 72

    Make sure no oil or lubricant has been accidentally spilt on the belt. Make sure you don't have a small water leak, it can do the same. Recheck all the hoses and clamps. Have a good look for any trace of water.

    Why was the engine taken out/rebuilt? What went wrong?

    The engine was due for a refresh, bearing, rings, values relaped, etc.
    Just to bring back to full power

    Sorry, just being a smart ass.

    It will be something simple. Water on the belt, faulty spark plug (even if they are new), loose plug. Check for a boost leak too.

    Unless the fuel is old or an additive was used I wouldn't think fuel.
