    Oil pump cable adjustment GP1200r

Anyone know how to check the Oil Pump cable setting without removing the engine? - Looking at the Yam Manual look's like it's buried at the front of the engine and the only adjustment is to align the mark's on pump lever with pump body.

I thought that too! Take the plastic airbox out (in front of the engine), and use a small mirror to see the marks, then adjust the cable to suit. You may also need a small torch.

Should have said- you need to take the exhaust header pipe out first.

    gpr cable adj

To adjust the cable it req you to pull the exhaust system to gain access, then you can remove the front airbox, then with a mirror and light you can align the oil pump hash marks, This will take a couple of hours to do, hope this helps Sam

Don't talk to me about the f###ing weather! I've been building my new trailer and the wind keeps blowing the gas off my MIG, my hands are freezing, and it's trying to snow! Apart from that......! It's supposed to be start of Spring this week. Looks like it's going to be drysuits for a while yet!
